An Umhlanga resident has needed to evacuate his residence as a precautionary measure as a result of M4 collapse worsening, stories Northglen Information.
Restore work to the broken part of the M4 Ruth First Freeway was halted indefinitely on Tuesday as a result of heavy rains.
The collapse has now begun affecting properties instantly behind the M4.

Andrew Fraser, who lives on Portland Drive, mentioned he and his household had been advised to evacuate on Wednesday morning as a precautionary measure.

“I do know the municipality is doing all they will to try to divert the stormwater which is inflicting the financial institution behind the M4 to break down. There may be nothing we are able to do if the home collapses, however the principle factor is we’re all safely evacuated,” he mentioned.
